NEPSE virtual trading

Practise on the real market. Pay the real costs.

Place limit orders on live NEPSE prices with virtual money. Every ticket charges broker commission, the SEBON fee, the DP charge and capital gains tax, as a real trade would, so what you learn carries over.

The arena is in the iOS and Android app.

What it teaches

Four habits the arena builds.

Order mechanics, cost awareness, an honest comparison, and reflexes that hold when the money is real.

Orders

Limit orders, without the tuition fee.

Set a price inside NEPSE’s allowed range and watch the order fill or wait. The ticket tells you before you place it when your cash, fees included, will not cover it.

  • Fees shown on the ticket before you confirm
  • Orders fill in step with real trading
  • Settlement shown the way a real trade settles

  • What fees do to a trade

Commission, SEBON fee, DP charge and capital gains tax on every order, the costs most paper trading skips.

  • A fair leaderboard

Everyone starts with the same balance and pays the same fees at the same prices, so the table compares decisions.

  • Reflexes that carry over

NEPSE’s prices and a real trade’s costs, so the practice holds when the money is real.

An arena order, in full

Buy 100 NABIL at Rs 512.00, sell at Rs 560.00.

The share price moves 9.38% in your favour: a Rs 4,800.00 gain on paper. Broker commission, the SEBON fee, the DP charge and capital gains tax take Rs 638.85 of it, 13.31% of the gain, before it reaches you. A practice account that ignores fees shows you the first number and never the second.

Every arena ticket shows the fees before you confirm, using the same engine as the calculators.

Questions

Arena questions, answered.

New to order types? Read how NEPSE trading works.

What is virtual trading?

Virtual trading, sometimes called paper trading, is practising the stock market with pretend money. You place real-looking buy and sell orders on real stocks at real prices, but nothing is deducted from your bank account. The point is to learn how the market behaves before you put actual rupees on the line.

Do I risk any real money?

No. Every order in the arena uses virtual cash. There is no connection to your broker account, no real DEMAT, and nothing leaves your wallet. You can buy, sell, and lose the entire balance without a single paisa at stake.

Are the prices real NEPSE prices?

Yes. The arena uses live NEPSE market data, the same feed that drives the rest of the app, and orders fill in step with real trading. A limit order fills when the market reaches its price; one placed after the close waits in the queue for the next session.

Why do my practice trades pay broker fees and tax?

Because a practice that ignores fees teaches you the wrong habit. In real NEPSE trading, every buy and sell carries broker commission, a SEBON regulatory fee, a DP charge, and capital gains tax. The arena charges all four so your results mean something: a trade that looks profitable in the arena will look the same when you do it for real.

How do seasons and the leaderboard work?

Each season starts with the same virtual balance for every participant. You trade freely across the season window using real NEPSE prices. At the end, the leaderboard ranks everyone by portfolio return. Seasons reset so new and experienced traders start equal each time.

Is virtual trading free?

Yes. The full arena, including order placement, the leaderboard, and the fee breakdown on every ticket, is free on iOS and Android.
